Iris Shorts

It's the official start of summer here in NJ, and that calls for a new pair of shorts! Colette patterns just released this patterns for shorts; Iris. I whipped a pair up this weekend using some cotton from Paron's in NYC. The only pattern adjustment I did was to lengthen the crotch, apparently I have a long torso. I made version 2, with the buttons, but did not cut the buttonhole, and just sewed the buttons on top.
Happy Summer!

  8. Those are really adorable shorts. I'm on the verge of hitting the purchase button on the Colette website, lol! I also want to buy the Monetta dress. But a question about these shorts...do you think they could be made in stretchy fabric and pull on instead of inserting a zipper? Just curious ...I thought that since you've already made them you might have an opinion on that. I find waistbands uncomfortable unless they're stretchy (pouffy tummy, you know, lol!)
